The marriage of Frances Dodge, the eldest daughter of the late auto manufacturer, John Dodge, and Matilda Rausch Dodge (Wilson) to Jimmy Johnson was called the social event of the season. It was held at Meadow Brook Hall, the home of Matilda and Alfred Wilson, Frances’ stepfather. The bride’s gown was ice blue satin with a 4.5-yard train; the matching satin veil was held in place with a tiara decorated with seed pearls.
