Captured Visuals was launched in 2015 by Ulysses and Ashlee Brown, a brother and sister dynamic duo out of the Eastside of Detroit, Michigan. Captured Visuals was birthed out of Ulysses’s passion for entrepreneurship and Ashlee’s passion being ahead of the curve; at an early age, Ulysses began selling snacks unauthorized by his school to his elementary school peers. This created a frenzy and a high demand for his products. Shortly after, Ulysses’s Mother noticed his growing interest in creating his own income. His Mother helped him purchase snacks wholesale to improve his inventory and profit margin. Ulysses’s Mother’s interest in his business impacted him tremendously; at that point, he knew that his Mother believed in him and would stand behind his dreams and endeavors.
Ulysses continued his snack business through high school until he started his career at FCA. While at FCA, Ulysses realized he wanted to return to his entrepreneurial roots. Ulysses’s sister Ashlee began researching untapped industries that were on an upward forecast to thrive when she came across event photo booths. Ashlee brought this idea to Ulysses’s attention, knowing he had the technical skills to implement this plan. After gaining education on how to run a photo booth business, Ulysses and Ashlee invested in their first set of equipment, including a Cannon T6 and an inflatable photo booth.
Like most businesses undergo in their first years, the family duo experienced setbacks and challenges. The team had their equipment stolen twice early in their photo booth business. Driven by their commitment to their customers, Ulysses and Ashlee did not allow this to set them back. The duo returned to the drawing board and decided to take a different approach; they purchased a pre-built photo booth system during their fifth year of business. This completely changed the game for Captured Visuals allowing them to expand their equipment and grow their clientele.
Currently, Captured Visuals is a high-end photo booth company with multiple photo and 360 booths. Additionally, the company now offers event and party rentals, including snow-cone, cotton candy, nacho, hotdog machines, and tables and chairs. This equipment expansion has put Captured Visuals in a position to work with influential individuals and brands.
With plans to expand, Captured Visuals strives to enhance its client experience through user-friendly hi-tech equipment, a full-service website designed to make booking services easy for customers, and offering affordable services to allow everyone to experience the magic of Captured Visuals.
