“This shoot was inspired by pattern-mixing maximalist design,” says Aimee Paquin, owner and creative director of Modernly Events. “We paired several patterns, shapes, and textures with bright pastel and neon colors to imagine what a traditional spring wedding could look like.”
“Natural wood and soft tulle elements created a light and airy feel, while the abstract shapes and textures of the floral and fruit centerpieces added whimsy to the overall design,” says Paquin

“Pattern mixing can be scary!” says Paquin. “One way to make it feel cohesive is choosing a color, like lime green, that shows up in both the tablecloth
and napkins.”
“The wavy shape was a unifying design element that we carried through the linens, menus, centerpieces, florals, cakes, and bridal attire,” says Paquin.
