Located in a historic building in the heart of Detroit that was once home to Goebel’s Brewery and Stroh’s Ice Cream, The Whiskey Factory is Detroit City Distillery’s mixed-use event space. In additional to hosting everything from bachelor parties to wedding receptions for up to 250 people, it is also a distillery that works around the clock to craft small batch artisanal whiskies, gins, and vodkas.
The fact that The Whiskey Factory is a working distillery is enough to set the stage for a unique wedding experience, and the beverage options raise the bar (pun intended) even more. After selecting one of two main spirits packages — The Riopelle Tasting Room Experience includes the full seasonal menu from Detroit City Distillery’s Eastern Market tasting room, and the Artisanal Batch Cocktail Experience includes a curated selection of three batch cocktails — couples can choose from several add-on beverage services, such as a whiskey tasting or bespoke gin & tonic bar. Couples who plan ahead (six months for gin or one year for whiskey) can even add bespoke spirits production and create their own unique blend to serve at their nuptials or give to their guests as the ultimate wedding favor.
