WHEN TWIN SISTERS Megan Young and Mandy Tamborini tried to find organic, chemical-free treats for their children with limited success, they decided to take matters into their own hands and launched Spun Sugar Detroit, an all-natural cotton candy company. Using simple ingredients — organic sugar, plant-based dyes, and natural flavoring — the duo has crafted more than 50 unique flavors, including mango chili, strawberry champagne, wedding cake, cherry kisses, honey rose, lavender and lemon, and chocolate mint.

“With all the excitement happening in Detroit, I really thought that bringing cotton candy cart service would be a great addition for happiness, and a fun dessert option around Detroit and metro Detroit,” Tamborini says. “Cotton candy makes everyone happy!”

Event packages start at $325 for two hours and up to 50 guests. Couples looking for a truly unique offering on their wedding day can work with Spun Sugar to create their own custom flavor or add upgrades such as sprinkles, edible toppers, or glow cones. Party favors, starting at $3 each, are also available.

But the best reason to book Spun Sugar Detroit for your wedding day? Because, Tamborini says, “Cotton candy brings smiles to all ages.”
